As a church, we are committed to service in Christ’s name, and to growing in our knowledge and experience of his holy word. It is our hope and prayer that people place their trust in Jesus Christ as the only savior from sin and death, and that they grow in their relationship with him. We are constantly working on providing meaningful worship experiences, opportunities for well-researched Bible studies, and impacting events for fellowship and Christian hospitality, prayer, and other ministerial programs.

Adult Connections at Covenant

Music Ministry

Choir rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7pm.  Anyone is welcome to join us in singing a variety of Gospel-centered music.
Students may join if they are in 5th grade or higher.
Christmas Cantata rehearsals will begin mid-October. If you are interested in singing or playing in the orchestra, please contact the church office.

Small Groups

There are several small groups at the church. They meet different nights of the week. If you would be interested, please contact the office at 724-981-3535.

Sunday School

Each Sunday at 9am, adults have three options
  • The Gospel Project exists to point to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The children and youth use this study. All ages discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still today, compelling them to join the mission of God. In January, Dick Simon and Andrew Reading will lead the class through a study on the Gospel in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, throughout the Old Testament.
  • Aaron Weese and Craig Campbell will lead a discussion study on Galatians, using Galatians and You by Timothy Keller. The class will walk through the book of Galatians to learn how the Gospel message changes the whole of our lives and connects timeless Biblical truths to today’s world.
  • “With Christ in the School of Prayer” – I think it is safe to say that the thing we can never do too much of is pray. But it may also be safe to say that the thing that we fall far short in is our time with God in prayer. So we will be gathering on Sunday mornings from 9-10 to primarily do just this … we will pray! But we will use a classic work by Andrew Murray entitled, “With Christ in the School of Prayer” as an encouragement and resource to teach us along the way. Pastor Rick Stauffer
The nursery is available and we have grade level classes for youth and children.

Sunday School classes

During the school year, each of our children’s Sunday school classes use The Gospel Project curriculum. The classes are grouped into 3 year olds  to 1st  grade students and 2nd to 5th students (Club 252). Both classes meet Sunday morning from 9:00-10:00 (during the school year)

Opportunities during worship

(during the school year) Children’s Church for children age 3 through 2nd grade – meets in the Little Lambs classroom around the corner from the nursery. Kids will learn about Jesus every week through a story, game, or craft. Parent, please pick-up your children immediately after the service.
Worship bags for children ages 5 to 8 – activity bags are available at the back of the sanctuary for children during worship. Please return these bags to the back of the sanctuary at the end of the service.

Student Ministry (grades 6-12)

Our student ministry is not its own separate entity but an extension of the ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church, which seeks to proclaim “Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Cor 2:2) so that “we may present everyone mature in Christ” (Col 1:28). We hope to partner with parents and families to bring students into the life of the church, and to empower parents for the work of discipleship in the home. We cultivate this mission in the following ways:

Youth Group

Youth Group is a monthly gathering of all the youth for fellowship, family style dinner, fun and teaching. Through Youth Group, we hope to lead students in various aspects of the life of the church and godly living as well. We hope that students not only get to experience these good things but also come to see them as good and enjoyable as well.

During Youth Group, we aim to lead students in at least 30 minutes of gospel-centered teaching from scripture. We work not only to teach the truth of scripture, but to also teach the beauty of scripture, and to train students to read and understand the Bible for themselves.

Events are fun ways to gather students and their families. Discipleship goes beyond preaching and teaching and into how we live in the real world.
Events make memories, form friendships, and provide ample opportunity for discipleship in daily situations outside the walls of the church.
Most of our events are designed to allow parents (and siblings) to join the fun. We believe God designed discipleship to take place first in the home, then through the church. In family-based events, we encourage and work to enable families to have quality experiences
together to benefit discipleship in the home.

Sunday School – Small Groups

We will resume September 9th.

Youth Sunday School consists of four classes (Jr. High Girls, Jr. High Boys, Sr. High Girls, Sr. High Guys). All classes gather in the Youth Area, then split into their respective classes.
The Gospel Project follows God’s redemptive plan throughout all of Scripture and intentionally sets up parents and students to have discussions at home about what they are learning in class.
