children’s church

During the sermon time, we offer an opportunity for your child to go to family ministry’s wing with our adult and youth volunteers to learn about God in a way that is engaging to their age and stage in life. All kids 3 years old to 2nd grade are welcome to join!

 Spring 2021

This semester we are exploring the Psalms and how they guide the way we worship as a whole church. We spend each week thinking about different aspects of our typical worship service and where we see that aspect played out in the Psalms. Your child will come home with a craft as well as a small reminder of what they learned that day so you can ask them more about it when you get home.

Memory Verse
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have by being. -Psalm 146:1-2, ESV

 Covid Safety Measures

The well-being of your children is our first priority here in the nursery at Covenant. As such, we have taken the following safety measures to give your kids the safest environment possible while experiencing the same loving care they have always experienced here.

What your children can expect…
  • Wearing a facial mask will be optional
  • To have their temperature checked via non-contact thermometer on the way back to their room
  • To be separated by age depending on the size of the group
  • To use hand sanitizer upon arrival, in between activities, after using the restroom, and before returning to the church service
  • To be sat at separate tables to encourage social distancing
  • To not share toys with other children if possible
  • To have separate craft bags and materials that will not be shared with other children
Our volunteers commit to…
  • Receiving a temperature check upon arrival via a non-contact thermometer
  • Wearing protective spit shields over their mouths at all times
  • Avoid physical contact with children and when they do so to immediately wash their hands
  • Wash their hands thoroughly after arrival and periodically throughout their time with your child
