What is the THE CROSS ERIE?
THE CROSS ERIE is a “church for the city.” With low-income high rises in every direction and a couple homeless shelters on our block, they provide a worship service and community to those who would not be able to otherwise get to many churches. In the meantime, they have had the opportunity to build relationships as the hands and feet of Christ and see transformation in lives.

What will my student be doing on the trip?
The main focus of this trip will be give your student a picture of serving marginalized people within their communities in an authentic environment. Everything we do is designed to challenge current perspectives and replace them with a gospel lens. The heart at Philadelphia Project is to not only provide experience in serving marginalized people, but to train your student in these areas, giving them a biblical basis for service as well as practical tools for how to serve.

What logistics do I need to know about the trip?
Once you register, you will receive direct communication from Matthew about a packing list, times of departure and arrival, and other forms you will need to fill out for your child’s safety. Matthew and other trusted adult leaders will be your student’s drivers and chaperones during the trip. You will receive a leader contact list before the trip as well as your student will not be allowed to have their cell phone on during the trip.
